CENTRE FOR THE PROTECTION OF REFUGEES AND IMMIGRANTS
We provide free face-to-face and remote legal representation to asylum seekers, refugees, and immigrants, as well as guidance and orientation regarding the access of these particular groups to public policies that currently exist in Brazil.
We promote, in partnership with Cedpir, research and events on refugees and immigration with the intent of bringing the Brazilian public closer to the issues they face.

Guidance on the documents related to their social rights in Brazil

Advice, guidance, and preparation for the eligibility interview with National Committee for Refugees (CONARE), particularly in regards to cases involving gender violence, persecution based on sexual orientation and/or gender identity and unaccompanied or separated minors

Assistance with the forms for eligibility

Strong efforts to explain the right information, whether face-to-face or not, and making sure the client understands the information accurately

Explanations on travelling overseas while waiting on decision to be made about applicant situation

Provide legal advice on Refugee and Migration Law, especially on issues involving gender-based violence, gender-based persecution and/or gender identity, and unaccompanied or separated minors for partner institutions
